Oil is a black Block with water-like textures on its sides. It is frequently used as fuel for Distillers and Extractors, as well as one of the two ingredients in order to make Black Dyes (The other being Coal).
Oil is a liquid block, so you can slowly go through it. However, you'll receive damage whilst submerged and your movement will be way slower than when in water.
How to obtain
Oil can only be found in Arctic Mines. Each mine usually contains around 100-200 oil blocks.
